Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported that a low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal is expected to bring significant rainfall along with thunderstorms to the Koraput and Malkangiri districts on Wednesday and Thursday.
An Orange alert has been issued, indicating that residents should prepare for heavy rainfall, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, and strong winds reaching speeds of 30 to 40 km/h in the affected districts until 8:30 AM on Thursday.
Additionally, a Yellow alert has been raised for 28 other districts, warning of potential heavy rain and thunderstorms over the next two days.
